Ruser Baroque Pearl Cherub Pin

This charming brooch from famed jeweler William Ruser features a small cherub perched atop a freshwater pearl, two of Ruser's signature trademark motifs. Ruser's cherub appears to have taken a tumble, as evidenced by his white gold bandages and a 14K gold crutch. At once playful and captivating, this brooch showcases the signature style of the celebrated jeweler.

William Ruser and his wife opened their eponymous boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in 1947. Ruser's specialty was crafting unique cherub pieces from baroque, freshwater pearls. Throughout the 1950s and 60s, Hollywood starlets proudly wore Ruser’s one-of-a-kind figural pieces both on and off screen.
